BMW Oracle Racing and Mascalzone Latino-Capitalia are ready to begin building the first of their two new America's Cup boats.
Oracle will start construction at a purpose-built facility on the west coast of the United States, at Anacortes, Washington, while the Italians are building at Andora (Savona). Both boats are expected to be sailing at Valencia by March.
Neither team have yet been assigned a sail number. Emirates Team New Zealand already have NZL84 and +39 have ITA85. Spain's Desafio Espanol are also believed to be close to starting a new boat.
