Team New Zealand all quiet on sponsor

Team New Zealand remain tightlipped about whether they are closing in on the $150 million needed to compete in the next America's Cup.

There is growing speculation they are nearing a deal with the Middle Eastern airline Emirates.

A statement from the Emirates head office in Dubai said yesterday: "The company are always exploring sponsorship opportunities and discussing them with various parties. But at this stage we have nothing to announce."
