America's Cup hero Peter Burling is still considering his future options, including a possible tilt at the Volvo Ocean Race.
Just a month after lifting the Auld Mug from Oracle Team USA off Bermuda, Burling is now contesting the Moth class world championships on Lake Garda, Italy.
He currently lies fifth, after finishing second and third in the opening qualifying races. Oracle rival Tom Slingsby shares the lead with wins in his first two races.
But Burling has not discounted a shot at the round-the-world classic, with long-time team-mate Blair Tuke already committing to the Spanish Mapfre crew.
"There's still a bit of stuff up in the air and I'm just working through a few options at the moment, figuring out what's best to do," says Burling. "If I can get a bit of time off over the summer ... I'm trying to factor that in.
