Racing in the America's Cup yachting challenger series was abandoned today because of high wind gusts on the Hauraki Gulf off Auckland.
Tomorrow is the last reserve day available to complete the first round robin in the Louis Vuitton Cup challengers series, which has been beset by weather problems since starting 13 days ago.
There are five races remaining to complete the round, involving eight of the nine teams, and organisers are hoping to hold them all tomorrow.
That would mean two flights of races being held, starting at the earlier than usual time of 10.30am.
Two teams will have to race twice, San Fransisco's Oracle and Mascalzone Latino, of Italy.
Organisers said today's winds on the Hauraki Gulf were about 15 knots, which would have allowed racing to go ahead, were it not for squalls that rose as high as 45 knots.
