KEY POINTS:
Some 1200 guests from the worlds of sport, business and fashion have partied at the America's Cup Match Party in Valencia.
They were entertained by British pop group Duran Duran and fed by chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants in Spain.
Sailors rubbed shoulders with bullfighters and Spanish socialites in a reception area displaying models of the two competing boats and the Cup itself.
