In the last race of the day, One World beat Stars and Stripes by 1min 19sec, but the separation was exaggerated because the losers had to complete a penalty turn before crossing the line.
OneWorld looked comfortable through most of the race despite having some spinnaker trouble at one stage.
The wind also provided a few anxious moments, getting above 30 knots at one stage while the boats were going upwind.
After that it calmed down to a brisk 14 to 16 knots.
The third match scheduled in the second set of races today, between Oracle and Victory Challenge, was abandoned because of gear trouble on board Oracle.
Organisers hope to finish the second round tomorrow, with Le Defi, Prada, Victory and Alinghi all having one race remaining and Oracle having two.
Wind: 14-16 knots
Winning time: 01:19
