Prada and Seattle's OneWorld had another tight duel in their third race today, until the Italian boat was given a red flag penalty as the boats closed on the second mark.
OneWorld went on to win the race by 33sec, after they led around the first mark by 10sec, trailed by 4sec at the second, and then, after Prada carried out their penalty turn, were 51sec up at the third.
As OneWorld led downwind the first time the umpires ruled Prada pushed the Seattle boat out beyond the layline, rather than gybing towards the mark straight away.
Prada were ahead after the manoeuvre but they also had the red flag, meaning they had to carry out the penalty as soon as possible after rounding the second mark, and as they did it OneWorld sailed away.
OneWorld now have two wins to Prada's one in their semifinal contest, but with OneWorld going into the round with a one-point penalty, the scores are 1-1.
