Today's racing in the Louis Vuitton Cup on the Hauraki Gulf has been cancelled due to a lack of wind.
Wind speeds of about five to six knots from the northeast were being recorded but for racing to start a five-minute moving average true wind speed of at least seven knots is needed.
Today's matches, which will now likely be sailed in the interval betwen round robins one and two will feature OneWorld of Seattle against Sweden's Victory Challenge, Britain's GBR Challenge against Italy's Prada, the Swiss Alinghi team against Dennis Conner's Stars and Stripes, and the French Le Defi against Larry Ellison's Oracle team.
They are competing for the right to challenge Team New Zealand for the America's Cup in February.
