Racing in the America's Cup challenger series semifinals today has been called off because of strong winds.
Organisers said westerly winds on the Hauraki Gulf were reaching 30-35 knots early today with no improvement expected.
Racing cannot start if the wind speed is above 19 knots.
The first phase of the semifinals is due to finish on Tuesday.
The Swiss Alinghi team leads 3-0 in their best-of-seven contest with Oracle of San Fransisco.
The other contest is proving to be tighter with Seattle's OneWorld having won two races to one against Italy's Prada.
However, the score between the two is 1-1 because a one-point penalty has been imposed on OneWorld for having technical information belonging to other teams.
