GBR Challenge has won the right to resail their second round robin race against challenger series leaders Alinghi after complaints about poor decision-making by the race committee.
GBR, which lost its Wednesday race against the Swiss team by almost eight minutes, protested to the jury arguing the race committee made several mistakes in setting the course in the light and shifty wind conditions.
The jury last night agreed with GBR, and has ordered that the race be resailed tomorrow.
The jury said if the committee had not made mistakes, the race would probably have been abandoned in the light airs, so GBR had been disadvantaged.
Round robin two of the Louis Vuitton Cup is due to end on Sunday, weather permitting, with the quarter-finals beginning on November 12.
Alinghi leads the competition with GBR tied for fifth.
