Cheap digs for Louis Vuitton

The Bucklands Beach Yacht Club has been named home to around 200 officials helping to organise the Americas Cup challenger series this year.

From October, the Louis Vuitton race management team will meet at the club for breakfast and a pre-race briefing each morning, and will return to socialise in the evenings.

The America's Cup Challenge Association said the club had a lot of space and its prices were more reasonable than those of some clubs closer to town.

The club will provide maintenance areas for boats, as well as office, meeting and storage space.
