So who will win the Auld Mug? Artemis Racing was the only team to beat both Oracle Team USA and Emirates Team New Zealand during the regatta so surely they have a pretty good idea of who will come out on top? Nope " not the case at all.
Tactician Iain Percy can't pick a winner. He believes the changing conditions and the teams' ability to make changes could see the landscape changing until the end of the regatta. "Because of that, we can't tell you who's going to win this thing - it genuinely will come down to the wire - but we can tell you it will be the most entertaining sporting contest of 2017," Percy said.
Percy might be the only member of the Artemis Racing crew who has a reason to be happy their campaign ended yesterday. His wife is due to give birth back in London any day and he will race home to be there.
Weather watch
Who cares? Racing takes a break now until Sunday so it doesn't matter much what the conditions are like. Oracle Team USA will continue to practice with Softbank Team Japan while the Emirates Team New Zealand guys will remain the lone wolf and sharpen up for the Cup on their own. For us fans, it is a chance to sleep in and ready ourselves for the early start Sunday, when the finals get under way.
Quotes of the day
"We just need the helicopter to get a bit closer and we can get some breeze." - Team New Zealand skipper Peter Burling
"I feel like we've had an incredibly tough road to get here - we have gone through a lot of adversity with things like the capsize and some tough races here and there but one thing about this team is they have dug super deep to get us to this point." - Burling again
"We've had some really good battles with them. That race, they were just a bit quicker than us and by having the leeward end of the start it sort of sealed it up for them. It is a tough race." - Artemis skipper Nathan Outteridge
Term of the day
Heeling is the term for when a boat leans over in the water, pushed by the wind.
