Helicopters will drop confetti along the parade route as Dunedin celebrates the Team New Zealand America's Cup victory on Thursday.
Team chief executive Grant Dalton last week accepted Dunedin's invitation to attend a parade in the city. It will include 28 members of the sailing team and will be held at noon on Thursday.
Dunedin City Council events special projects co-ordinator Tammy Jackman said the parade would start outside the Dental School in Great King St, then head down Frederick and George Sts to the Octagon, where there would be a civic welcome.
Jackman said the central city would be "dressed in black and white balloons" and Dunedin bunting.
Helicopters would drop confetti along the parade route, weather permitting.
