KEY POINTS:
Finally the breeze decided to visit Valencia and two flights of racing were completed in the Louis Vuitton Cup.
Yay? If you could only feel our excitement.
Team Shosholoza were the story of the day beating Luna Rossa. A small budget, one boat team tipped over one the big boys. It is going to happen again.
It is impressive what Shosholoza have done. They were the first team to launch a version five boat back in 2005. Since then they have had a look at what the other teams have come up with and made some nice changes. Their boat RSA83 has got a wind range. We reckon they are good up to about 12 knots.
Team New Zealand had a good day beating Areva Challenge and Spain's Desafio Espanol comfortably.
Getting beaten by Mascalzone Latino in their first race probably shook them a bit. It appears they have gone back and talked very clearly about communication.
Today especially against Spain there was very decisive decision making by the afterguard about the placement of the boat and where they wanted to start. Their crew work was very good. They appear to have an edge over everyone they have raced so far downwind.
BMW Oracle Racing are the only unbeaten team after five flights. They did it hard against Luna Rossa today though.
Tonight (NZT) Team New Zealand have Shosholoza and Germany.
