Team New Zealand is looking to use the absence of Peter Burling and Blair Tuke this weekend to build depth ahead of next year's Americas Cup.
With Burling and Tuke bound for Rio, Team New Zealand has re-jigged their crew for the latest round of the Americas Cup World Series in Portsmouth.
Skipper Glenn Ashby says while its not ideal to split the crew up they are viewing it as an opportunity for others to learn new roles.
Ashby believes that will ultimately give them a better chance of being successful in the future.
Team New Zealand leads the series by 10 points with three rounds remaining.
