New Zealander Jessica Ruthe became the first international athlete in a decade to win the women's event in one of Australia's biggest road races, the City to Surf in Sydney.
Ruthe, 28, beat defending champion Anna Thompson by more than two minutes with a winning time of 46m 33s.
The Tauranga-born athlete has been training at altitude in Boulder, Colorado, and is aiming to run an Olympic qualifying time at the Chicago Marathon in October.
