KEY POINTS:
Graham Moore of Pakuranga ran out winner for the second year in a row in the annual Paeroa to Thames 32.5km road race yesterday. Moore recorded a time of 2h 10m 19s for the distance, 6m 40s slower than his winning time last year.
However he was nearly 10 minutes ahead of the next fastest, John Thompson of Manurewa. Ian Crabbe of Takanini was third. Trevor Wright holds the race record of 1h 45m 18s set 23 years ago.
Jenny Howe of Remuera won the women's section in 2h 32m 26s, six minutes ahead of Carrine Weston of Takanini, with Alison Crabbe third.
