Thames Valley will have a South African and an Englishman amongst their locks in this year's national second division rugby championship (NPC).
Coach Leon Holden has named Tryonne Maullin, who was the Natal No 3 lock before coming to Hamilton to join Fraser Tech and Andy Springgay, who played for the England Schools, Under-19 and Under-21 representatives.
He has joined the Hauraki North club in the Thames valley competition.
Both players are about 2m tall and 112kg.
Holden has named four other loan players in his squad.
Two of them, David Rawnsley and David Dillon, played previously for the province.
Dillon has also played for Bay of Plenty and Waikato.
Eight players will be wearing the Thames Valley colours for the first time.
The side will be captained by experienced halfback Aaron McDonald, who has played 53 games for Thames Valley.
