Lote Tuqiri will be given a timely opportunity to showcase his slated million-dollar skills when he lines up at centre in the first test of the Wallabies' rugby tour of Europe.
With tour captain Stirling Mortlock recovering from a knee injury, Wallabies coach John Connolly yesterday nominated Tuqiri as his likely replacement for the opening test against Wales on Saturday week.
Usually a winger, Tuqiri proved a standout performer at centre in the final three tests of Australia's spring tour last year.
