Crusaders wing Johnny McNicholl is in the crosshairs of the Scarlets club in Wales.
Coach Wayne Pivac acknowledged he had spoken to the wing and others in his recruitment drive for next season.
"We haven't finalised our squad for next season, but we are not far off. We are hoping to announce one or two others before the season finishes and the outside back is a position we are looking to fill," he told the South Wales Evening Post.
Pivac has signed former Springbok and Bulls tighthead Werner Kruger to lead the Scarlets front-row next campaign.-Wynne Gray
