The Wellington Rugby Union and the Hurricanes are looking for a new chief executive.
After five and a half years in the job Malcolm Holmes has resigned to take up a position with a commercial media company in Auckland.
Holmes says his time at the Wellington union has been very rewarding.
He is particularly pleased during his time to see the markedly increased profits from the Wellington and Hurricanes successes flowing down into club rugby.
Holmes said the two NPC home finals, when married with the Hurricanes making the play offs three times out of the last four years, has now given Wellington rugby a reputation of consistency.
The position of Wellington rugby CEO will be advertised shortly.
