Ewen McKenzie may throw his hat into the ring for the Crusaders or Blues coaching jobs in rugby's Super 14.
The current Waratahs coach was told last month he would not be reappointed next season, but that was before he led his team to a home semi-final.
However there is now talk the New South Wales board could do an about face.
McKenzie says if that does not happen, he would be interested in Robbie Deans' or David Nucifora's old jobs. He says he will definitely look at the opportunities and it is not that far to come to New Zealand.
McKenzie says a lot of people were surprise to learn that he was not going to be reappointed next season.
