An image of Lopeti Timani with two swollen eyes has revealed the extent of his fight with Rebels teammate Amanaki Mafi in Dunedin last weekend.
The Daily Telegraph newspaper featured an image of Timani on the front of their sport section today under the headline 'Super Thugby'.
Yesterday it was revealed the duo were both been handed $16,309 fines by the club for fighting and are unlikely to return for the side next season.
Mafi and Timani fought after the side's season-ending loss against the Highlanders in Dunedin on Saturday night. Mafi faced a Dunedin court on Monday morning after being charged with injuring with intent to injure, and was released on bail.
