Clarke Dermody has been appointed Highlanders coach on a three-year deal.
The widely expected announcement was made by the Highlanders this afternoon.
Dermody (42), the former All Blacks, Highlanders and Southland prop, is a popular and familiar face at the franchise.
After playing 44 games for the Highlanders then having a long spell with the London Irish club in England, he joined the Highlanders as a scrum coach in 2014.
He later became forwards coach then assistant coach under Tony Brown, as well as coaching Tasman in the NPC.
