Former All Blacks first five-eighth Carlos Spencer will start Saturday morning's (NZT) Super 14 rugby match against the Chiefs despite a mixed outing in his return to Super rugby last weekend.
Spencer was replaced at halftime during last week's 26-13 loss to the Stormers in Cape Town but coach Dick Muir will persevere with the former Auckland playmaker for the Johannesburg Super 14 match.
The Chiefs side will be named tomorrow morning.
