Former All Blacks captain Sean Fitzpatrick believes that Super Rugby should be divided into two tiers as a solution to making the competition more competitive.
This comes after SANZAAR CEO Andy Marinos says the 18-team conference format won't be changing for the foreseeable future.
However, with not everyone playing each other and teams with lower points tallies receiving home playoff matches, the competition structure has been widely criticised, with players, coaches, fans and media personalities all voicing their disapproval.
Speaking to Crowd Goes Wild Breakfast, Fitzpatrick said he believes the competition needs to be more competitive, saying he would like to see the structure of the competition broken into two divisions.
