Super Rugby bosses are happy with the response from the Blues and Eden Park after a Sharks player was almost hit by an object during the match at the stadium on Friday night.
Hooker Craig Burden was almost hit in the head by a small rubber ball when he scored a try in the first half of the Sharks' victory.
The initial match report from the Blues did not mention the incident, with Sanzar, the controllers of the Super Rugby competition, asking for more information.
A Sanzar spokeswoman said in a statement today said the organisation had now received a report and was happy with it.
"We have received a report confirming the object was a soft rubber 'stress ball' giveaway merchandise product. Eden Park security have reviewed the security footage and are unable to identify who threw it so unfortunately cannot take any further steps to ban the culprit from future matches. Sanzar is happy that Eden Park and the Blues have done everything they can in this instance."
