Former All Black Rudi Wulf will return to the Blues next season after a stint in Toulon, France.
The 27-year old played 43 games for the Blues from 2005-2010, 57 for North Harbour and has four All Black Test caps.
In 2009, Wulf was named Blues Player of the Year alongside captain Keven Mealamu. He has also represented New Zealand in both Sevens and Colts national sides.
The winger/fullback's return to the Blues is great news to coach Pat Lam and the squad.
"Rudi was a real star performer for the Blues. He is a dynamic player, full of speed and skill and an outstanding team man. We were so sorry to see him head offshore last year and to have him come back to the Blues is fantastic news for us," said Lam
Wulf says he is looking forward to joining the squad in which he first played for as a 20-year old.
"To be returning to play amongst old mates in a team I so enjoyed being a part of is really exciting for me. I can't wait to get back on the field in a Blues jersey," said Wulf who has signed with the franchise for the 2012/2013 Super Rugby seasons.
