KEY POINTS:
Bay of Plenty's Murray Williams was named today to replace Tasesa Lavea in the Chiefs Super 14 rugby squad.
First five-eighth Williams, 25, played three games for the Chiefs last season after making his debut against the Stormers in Cape Town in February.
Lavea, 28, underwent surgery this week on a torn foot ligament he suffered during a pre-season game against the Chiefs a fortnight ago.
Chiefs management said Lavea was not expected to be able to put his full weight on the foot for three months.
