KEY POINTS:
AJ Venter may yet get his wish for one final Newlands farewell after being bracketed in the Sharks team for tomorrow morning's match against the Stormers.
The big Springbok, who has said that he intended retiring after the Super 14 if he was not required by the national coach, has been battling a finger injury.
Earlier this week he said he would be prepared to play through the pain barrier, but coach Dick Muir was not particularly sold on the idea.
The Sharks coach though has changed his mind and decided to give Venter a chance to come through before kickoff. He is bracketed with Warren Britz on the flank in a side which is back to full strength after a bit of mixing and matching for last week's clash with the Lions.
Ryan Kankowski continues at No 8, with Bob Skinstad making his return to Newlands as part of the Sharks bench.
BJ Botha is back in the starting team at tighthead, with Deon Carstens moving back to loosehead.
Butch James has been named at flyhalf, with Frans Steyn continuing on the wing as part of a back three that includes Percy Montgomery and JP Pietersen.
The Sharks must win to ensure they host a semifinal next Saturday.
Inside backs Berrick Barnes and Quade Cooper have swapped positions in the only change to the Queensland Reds starting side for their match with the Bulls in Pretoria.
The Reds, who are set to collect the wooden spoon, face a tough task against the fourth-placed Bulls.
