Highlanders coach Jamie Joseph has made three changes to his run-on side to play the Hurricanes at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin tomorrow night from the team that lost to the Sharks in Durban last weekend.
Manawatu pair Ma'afu Fia and Nick Crosswell come into the forward pack replacing captain Jamie Mackintosh (rest) and Doug Tietjens (knee injury), while Phil Burleigh has replaced Shaun Treeby who suffered a broken cheekbone against the Sharks.
Tietjens suffered a serious knee injury in South Africa and will miss the rest of the campaign, and Mackintosh has been rested after playing every game this season.
Fia will start on the tighthead side of the scrum, moving Chris King to loosehead and Crosswell will start at blindside flanker, with Adam Thomson shifting to openside.
On the reserves bench, Bronson Murray and Kenny Lynn return to the playing 22 after injury layoffs and Southland flanker Tim Boys makes a return to Super Rugby.
