Injured prop John Schwalger will join Ma'a Nonu on the sidelines for the Hurricanes' Super 14 rugby match against the Brumbies in Canberra on Friday.
Nonu has been suspended for a week after his neck wrenching tackle on Highlanders prop Clint Newland last week, with his place on the wing taken by Shannon Paku.
Jacob Ellison comes in for regular loosehead prop Schwalger, who has a back injury.
Returning to action after missing the Highlanders match because of injury are prop Neemia Tialata, flanker Chris Masoe and fullback Cory Jane.
