All Black lock Isaac Ross makes his return as one of two changes to the Crusaders' starting line-up to face the Chiefs in a Super 14 rugby match in Hamilton on Friday night.
Ross, who has been coming off the bench since getting over an ankle sprain, replaces impressive rookie Sam Whitelock, who gets a spell in the reserves after four consecutive appearances in the run-on side.
However, there is no place in the 22 for former test lock Chris Jack, who has been hampered by a wrist problem since his return from playing overseas.
Jack had his first match of the season last week, turning out for the Crusaders' development side.
In the other change in the run-on side, Kahn Fotuali'i steps in for All Black halfback Andy Ellis, who received a head knock in the win over the Blues last weekend.
