The Chiefs Super 12 franchise is on the look out for a new head coach.
Ross Cooper has resigned from the position to take up a new role as the New Zealand Rugby Union's Resource Coach.
The job will involve assisting second and third division NPC unions.
Former England assistant coach and Waikato captain John Mitchell is one of the leading contenders to replace Cooper.
The NZRFU has almost completed its review of the Super 12 and is in the process of reporting back recommendations to the five New Zealand franchises.
