KEY POINTS:
The Chiefs have needed just one training run in South Africa to rule forwards Keith Robinson and Sione Lauaki out of Saturday morning's (NZT) Super 14 rugby match against the Stormers in Cape Town.
The All Blacks pair, who both suffered injuries before the competition began, will be targetted to play in the second tour match against the Bulls in Pretoria next week.
Robinson hurt his calf in pre-season training while Lauaki broke his wrist in the trial match against the Blues nearly three weeks ago.
Assistant coach Warren Gatland told The Waikato Times it was important to take a safety-first approach.
The team are enduring an horrendous run of injuries.
Fullback Sosene Anesi (broken neck), centre Richard Kahui (bruised shoulder) and lock/captain Jono Gibbes (calf tear) have all missed the tour.
