The New Zealand Rugby Union has confirmed they are in discussions to bring former All Blacks and Blues flanker Daniel Braid back home.
Braid has spent the last two seasons with the Reds in the Super 14 and is considered to be playing the best rugby of his career.
NZRU general manager of professional rugby Neil Sorenson said Braid is one of a number of players they are showing serious interest in.
He said they have given contract offers to around 20 players playing in New Zealand and overseas and said Braid's form has not gone unnoticed by the All Blacks coaching staff.
