Exciting fullback Nehe Milner-Skudder has returned in the No 15 jumper after impressing in his cameo off the bench last week where he scored two tries. Midfielder Rey Lee-Lo has joined the bench.
"We've got a lot of respect for the Stormers," Hurricanes assistant coach John Plumtree said. "They've been a top side for a long period of time."
The Stormers were beaten 39-21 by the Highlanders in Dunedin on Saturday night and have won four from six this year.
The Hurricanes have won their opening six games of the season and lead the Super Rugby standings.
After hosting the Stormers this week they have the bye.
