KEY POINTS:
The crusade on London will have to wait for another year.
The Stormers were keen to play their home Super 14 clash with the six-time champion Crusaders in London next year, but new coach Rassie Erasmus has pulled the pin on the idea, having decided it is not in his team's best interests because of scheduling issues.
Crusaders CEO Hamish Riach said they were very keen on the plan as they saw it as a great opportunity to have the Crusaders in another market and it fitted with their travel schedule.
Riach concedes that in time, the Crusaders will possibly have to look at playing some of their home games off-shore as they look to maximise revenue opportunities for their franchise partners.
He believes the idea is a great opportunity for the Crusaders to make extra money and is still very much alive.
However, Riach says there are no specific plans to play a home game off shore at the moment.
