KEY POINTS:
Highlanders captain Craig Newby returns from injury to lead his Super 14 rugby team against the Hurricanes in Dunedin on Friday night.
They can do with his captaincy skills after suffering narrow losses in their three opening matches.
Newby sustained a foot injury in a pre-season game, leaving hooker Jason Macdonald and halfback Jimmy Cowan to share the leadership duties.
Also returning for the Highlanders is first five-eighth Daniel Bowden, who missed last weekend's 12-15 home loss to the Waratahs as he sat out a one-match suspension for a dangerous tackle against the Brumbies.
