All Blacks captain Richie McCaw is no certainty to start for the Crusaders in Friday night's Super 14 match against the Reds in Christchurch.
McCaw has been bracketed at openside flanker with Jonathan Poff, after missing last week's match with concussion.
Andy Ellis and Kahn Fotuali'i are also bracketed at halfback while Stephen Brett and Hamish Gard are bracketed at first-five.
