It's looking increasingly likely that All Blacks captain Richie McCaw will make his rugby return in July, after the international window.
Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder says McCaw is back in town, training hard and watching a lot of rugby.
"I reckon there's an itch that'll need to be scratched. Some big things are about to happen shortly and he's back training, he's getting really excited and rejuvenated to get back and play so I don't think he'll be too far away.''
Blackadder says it's not a case of him having to negotiate with All Black coach Steve Hansen for McCaw's services.
He says it's more about what McCaw's wants and the decision on when he returns to the field lie with him.
