KEY POINTS:
Experienced Manawatu lock Hayden Triggs has signed with Otago until 2010.
Triggs, who was named in the Highlanders Super 14 squad for a second season today, will remain south for the Air NZ Cup, Otago chief executive Richard Reid announced today.
"Manawatu have decided to release Hayden from his contract. He has shown what he is capable of in the Highlanders' 2008 campaign and we are delighted to have him available for the Highlanders and Otago," Reid said.
"Triggs enjoyed his time in Dunedin with the Highlanders earlier this year and that was a big factor in his move south."
Triggs has played for Manawatu since 2002.
He was part of the Hurricanes squad in 2007 and had two years with the New Zealand Divisional 15 in 2004 and 2005.
