As expected, halfback Brendon Leonard returns to the Chiefs starting line-up to play the Brumbies in the Super 14 this weekend after recovering from a sternum injury.
It is his first game since the Cheetahs match in South Africa in mid-April.
The other changes to the line-up are in the front row, where Ben May starts at loosehead prop and James McGougan will play tighthead, with Sona Taumalolo back on the bench.
