Chiefs No 8 Fritz Lee has re-signed with the rugby franchise for next season.
Coach Dave Rennie said Lee, who struggled for game time this year, had made some positive changes and had performed well for his ITM Cup team Counties Manukau.
Rennie said: "He is a good team man who has made some positive shifts and we're looking forward to a big Super Rugby season from him.''
Lee's signing came before he broke his arm in the match against Bay of Plenty a fortnight ago.
"I have unfinished business with the Chiefs and have a lot to prove, so I am rapt that the Chiefs management team have given me the opportunity to do this,'' he said.
