KEY POINTS:
MELBOURNE - Australia and ACT Brumbies first five-eighths Stephen Larkham has been cleared of a fracture in his chest after he was tackled by former All Blacks skipper Tana Umaga in a Super 14 match against Wellington on Saturday.
Larkham, 32, underwent a scan on Monday after the tackle in the 11-10 away defeat to the Hurricanes and is expected to be out of the side for three weeks.
"I got tackled by Tana, my shoulder was down and it got jammed," he said in a Brumbies statement.
"It wasn't particularly painful (at the time), but I knew that something was wrong straight away.
"I'm relieved that the injury's not as serious as it could be. The challenge now is to do everything that I can to get back as quickly as possible."
Larkham, who is targeting the March 24 contest against the Sharks in Durban as his return match, has played 95 times for the Wallabies after making his debut against Wales in Sydney in 1996.
