If powerful backrower Fritz Lee turns out to be half as good as most judges think, then we will witness the emergence of a special player.

Tawera Kerr-Barlow has been earmarked as a special halfback talent since the training wheels came off his first bike. He will push All Black Brendon Leonard hard for the starting spot.

Stephen Donald is coming off an All Black tour where he failed to establish himself as the first-choice back-up to Daniel Carter. He's starting for the Chiefs, but Bay of Plenty's Mike Delany wants that spot.
