KEY POINTS:
Chiefs centre Richard Kahui has been on light training duties this week after injuring his ankle scoring a try against the Waratahs on Saturday night.
X-rays cleared Kahui of any broken bones but he and halfback Brendon Leonard, who suffered a severe haematoma to his thigh in the same match, are coach Ian Foster's main injury worries.
Foster will today name his side to play the Hurricanes in Wellington on Friday. If Kahui and Leonard are not fit, Foster will have limited options. Back-up halfback Jamie Nutbrown is out for two months with a knee ligament injury picked up in round one, while utility back Tasesa Lavea was ruled out of the campaign pre-season.
Dwayne Sweeney is the likely next alternative in midfield if Kahui is ruled out, while third-choice halfback David Bason is the cover for Leonard.
