Chiefs hooker Hika Elliot has been suspended for a week of Super Rugby for his dangerous charge against the Sharks.
Elliot has entered an early guilty plea for his offence, which the SANZAR judicial officer determined was at the low entry point of seriousness.
He also took into account Elliott's impeccable disciplinary record, with the former All Blacks hooker having never previously received a red card or cited for foul play since commencing his professional rugby career in 2004.
Sharks captain Bismarck du Plessis has been suspended four weeks for kicking Chiefs number eight Michael Leitch.
Chiefs captain Liam Messam and Sharks second-five Frans Steyn still have to appear at judicial hearings for their offences.
