The Highlanders have been boosted by the return of fullback Ben Smith and first five Lima Sopoaga for Sunday morning's Super Rugby playoff match against the Sharks in Durban.
Smith returns to fullback after recovering from a leg infection while Sopoaga has been recalled ahead of Hayden Parker at first five.
There are two changes in the pack with Ged Robinson to start at hooker and Jarrad Hoeata coming in at lock.
The Sharks have made one change with Cobus Reinach getting the nod over Charl McLeod at halfback.
