New Hurricanes coach Mark Hammett is keen to stamp his mark on the game plan at the Super 15 franchise.
The Canes kick-off their pre-season schedule with a match against the Chiefs in Mangatainoka on Saturday.
Hammett says he hopes to see a more organised Hurricanes side in 2011 than in recent years but one that doesn't curb it's natural attacking instincts.
He says despite being back in training he's unlikely to use any of their All Blacks against the Chiefs but rather ease them in against the Blues the following week.
